STORY: Caesars Palace Tuesday announced that Elton John and Tina Turner will launch New Year's Eve festivities in Las Vegas with a Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999 concert in the newly remodeled Thomas & Mack Center. "We are thrilled to welcome these two super-talents for a once-in-a-lifetime weekend, which promises to be one of the premier entertainment events in this resort's long history," said Caesars Palace President Paul O'Neil. "Elton and Tina offer the caliber of international celebrity that makes this concert a `happening' with global appeal. The combination of artistry and energy is perfect for this weekend." John and Turner will be producing an integrated show, with both artists onstage together. Tickets priced at $101.50, $201.50, $401.50 and $601.50 (including parking, excluding any applicable ticket handling fee) will go on sale Saturday, March 20 at 9 a.m. at the Caesars Palace Forum Casino Box Office (a), Thomas & Mack Center Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets. Early purchasers may pick up numbered wristbands at the Thomas & Mack Center Box Office beginning Friday, March 19 at noon, continuing through the evening until 8 a.m. Saturday, March 20.
