STORY:
Rod Stewart Hit's Vegas New Year's Eve

Rod Stewart will perform a New Year's Eve concert at the upscale Rio Suite Hotel in Las Vegas, with a twist thrown in for would-be ticket buyers. The event will take place in the hotel's intimate 7,500 capacity Pavilion and access will only be permitted to those who purchase special New Year's weekend accomodations through the hotel.

A press statement issued by the venue gave no indication as to the final cost of the requisite weekend stay, though the event will stand alongside numerous New Year's events capitalizing on the marketability of the pre-Millenium move into the year 2000.
