STORY: According to a story in Billboard magazine, Sting, Aretha Franklin, and Andrea Bocelli will be performing at the Party of the Century, to be held at the city's Javits Convention Center. The venue will be converted into a theme park for the event, its 22 acres studded with stars from the music, sports, and comedy worlds. Among others confirmed to attend the event are Enrique Iglesias, Tom Jones, and Chuck Berry, all of whom will perform on the main stage; Kool & the Gang, who will provide music in the disco; Joan Rivers, who will emcee in the comedy room; and the Duke Ellington Orchestra conducted by Paul Mercer Ellington, who will be featured in the ballroom.
