Who's Afraid of the Millennium Bug? Not Game Show Network

The Game Show Network is planning a unique way for couch potatoes to spend New Year's Eve. They are encouraging people to grab their millenni um champagne, caviar and favorite millennium beer and watch "Y2Play".

``Y2PLAY,'' an exclusive programming block of the final episodes of select game shows, is scheduled to air exclusively on Game Show Network (GSN) for New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 1999. Hosted by Charles Nelson Reilly, ``Y2PLAY'' features the classic and all-time favorite game shows of the 20th century from 4 p.m. through midnight ET. Following is the program schedule for ``Y2PLAY''.

4 p.m. ``Jeopardy!''/Art Fleming No. 108 Episode aired in 1979 -- this is the final ``Jeopardy!'' to be hosted by original host Art Fleming. ``Jeopardy!'' was revived in 1984 with new host Alex Trebek.

4:30 p.m. ``Double Dare''/Alex Trebek No. 96 Final episode of the Goodson-Todman game show, which originally aired during the 1976-77 season.

5 p.m. ``Super Password''/Bert Convy No. 1151 The successful ``Password'' game series began in 1961; this is the final show that ran in 1989.

5:30 p.m. ``Body Language''/Tom Kennedy No. 1396 Closing episode of the 1984-86 Mark Goodson-produced series.

6 p.m. ``Now You See It''/Jack Narz No. 308 Last episode of the 1974-75 series; the show was revived in 1989 with Chuck Henry as host.

6:30 p.m. ``Blockbusters''/Bill Cullen No. 372 Originally aired in 1982, this is the final show in the ``Blockbuster' series, from 1982. Bill Rafferty hosted a brief ``Blockbuster'' comeback in 1987.

7 p.m. ``The Newlywed Game''/Bob Eubanks No. 222 The last episode of the original version of ``The Newlywed Game,'' as seen on ABC daytime in December 1974.

7:30 p.m. ``Card Sharks''/Bob Eubanks No. 826 This 1989 episode marked the end of a run that began in 1978 with Jim Perry as host.

8 p.m. ``The $25,000 Pyramid''/Dick Clark No. 1420 Only 1,404 episodes were made of the $25,000 version, numbers were skipped in the episode labeling process. Airing in July 1988, the show was replaced one week later by ``Family Feud'' with Ray Combs.

8:30 p.m. ``I've Got A Secret''/Steve Allen 4/3/67 Steve Allen replaced original host Garry Moore in 1964 and, after 15 years on CBS, ``I've Got A Secret'' came to a close in 1967.

9 p.m. ``Password''/Allen Ludden No. N-208 From 1965, the final episode to be broadcast in primetime. The show continued on daytime until September 1967.

9:30 p.m. ``To Tell the Truth''/Bud Collyer No. 1625 The last ``To Tell The Truth'' with Bud Collyer as host, after a 12-year run on CBS.

10 p.m. ``What's My Line?''/John Daly 9/3/67 Primetime television's longest-running game show -- 17 years on CBS.

10:30 p.m. ``The Gong Show''/Chuck Barris No. 500 The Gong Show continued in first-run syndication for another two years with Chuck Barris as host, but this 1978 show was the final to run in daytime.

11 p.m. ``Family Feud''/Richard Dawson No. 2311 From 1985, this is the final ``Family Feud'' with Dawson as host that aired on ABC. Three years later ``Feud'' returned on CBS with Ray Combs as host.

11:30 p.m. ``Match Game'' /Gene Rayburn No. 81-035-5 The final Match Game with Gene Rayburn. Rayburn returned several years later to co-host the ``Match Game-Hollywood Squares'' hour with Jon Bauman. ``Match Game'' also made brief comebacks in 1990 and 1998.
