Biloxi Casino Hotels Filling Up

Millennium packages going for a premium without knowing entertainment line-up

Casino hotels along Mississippi's Biloxi Coast are filling up for New Year's Eve according to Best Fares Magazine. Be prepared to pay premium rates, even if you can find a reservation.

Beau Rivage and Imperial Palace are charging $399 per night with a three-night minimum. The Isle of Capri is booked up and the Grand Casino has reserved all its rooms for VIP customers.

According to Best Fares, not all of the area's 16,000 hotel rooms are booked even though higher prices have not stopped bookings for the more expensive packages. Many of those making reservations don't even know what entertainment they'll get for their $1,200 package price.

Here's a place you don't have to worry about the Y2K bug hitting their reservation system. The Sun Tan has not begun booking rooms for New Year's Eve because their reservation system isn't computerized. They charge about $50 per weeknight and slightly more on weekends. Best Fares says the motel probably won't raise prices to capitalize on the New Year's Eve crowds.
