STORY: Organizers hope to increase attendance In an effort to increase attendance, the Insight.com Bowl which is played in Tuscon, will be moved to New Year's Eve beginning this season. Bowl officials told the The Arizona Daily Star they felt it was important to move it away from Christmas because it didn't allow as many fans to travel The game that has been played on Dec. 26 now will be played at 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 31. In addition to the shifting of the date, organizers will discuss ways that might allow the bowl to land Notre Dame and its national following. The bowl currently has an agreement with the Big East and Big 12 conferences. Notre Dame is an independent in football.
