STORY: An internet buff who runs an unauthorized and critical website on Britain's Millennium Dome videotaped a strong bolt of lightning hitting what Premier Tony Blair calls "the envy of the world". The video was captured by the a resident of the Isle of Dogs who waited hours during a storm in the hope lightning would strike. His patience paid off when a bolt hit water tanks on the edge of the dome. According to London's Daily Mirror, a spokesman for the dome calls the video "absolutely incredible". He says the dome itself and all of it's external structures are lightning proof. The main roof is made of Teflon-covered fabric and the masts are made of steel. He said the lightning conductors worked and everything appears to be fine. Critics say the photographs show God's displeasure of Britain's 758 million pound millennium centerpiece. The dome has been a sour spot for Britain politicians with Premier Tony Blair supporting the construction of the Dome while Prince Charles has said he would never set foot inside it saying the money could have been better spent elsewhere.
