Approximately £100 million will be awarded on New Year's Eve drawing

Britain is planning a huge millennium lottery that organizers say could top £100 million and create thirty new millionaires. According to a story from ITN, backers of the National Lottery have created a game that will culminate with a series of drawings on New Year's Eve.

Details of the game have not been disclosed but organizers say the game has been designed for contestants to pick numbers and several winners will be created.

Lottery tickets go on sale in November and will cost £5.
