STORY: Most people talk about the Y2K bug in hushed, often alarming tones. Now a Fort Wayne Indiana entrepreneur has created a computer bug that protects your computer rather than destroy it.
The Me2! Millipede is a plush bean doll designed to put a kinder, gentler face on the new millennium. Developed by Marilyn Moran-Townsend, the Me2! Millipede can sit on top of you computer monitor, along side your keyboard or any other place where the little green bug can emote positive energy through it's smirky smile and little arms and legs in an effort to protect your computer from any invading negative influence. The millipede's name is Me2! as in "count me in 2 the new millennium" says Moran-Townsend. "Me2! is about belonging to the solution instead of the problem" says Moran Townsend who is the CEO of CVC Communications, a marketing and communications company. "When we connect with this positive, wholesome approach to the millennium, we will stamp out the doomsayers, we'll find solutions to our problems and we'll build a better world in the new millennium." Moran-Townsend hopes her Me2! Millipede will be the rallying cry for people who want to stamp out the Y2K doomsayers and replace pessimism with optimism. There is now a line of Me2! products so like-minded people can participate in push for a positive millennium spirit. The little green bug bears a T-shirt with the Me2! symbol and sells on-line at the companyıs website for $12.95. There is also a one-of-a-kind Book Capsule, wearables, jewelry and collectibles. The Me2! family of products are available at the Me2 website: http://www.shillingsales.com/me2/ DATE: 6/01/99 For more E2000 stories, click here: |
