The Year 2000 Photo Countdown is an alliance between Everything 2000 and the Millennium Picture Group, a nationwide partnership of photojournalists. Each weekday, the Everything 2000 Web site will feature a new image documenting how people and institutions are preparing for year 2000.

Street performers are expected to have a big night on New Year's Eve making more money than every before. In Edinburgh, Scotland, men on stilts entertain crowds on Georges street. Despite some predictions of weaker than expected attendance, performers who have signed contracts with promoters are expected to benefit greatly at New Year's celebrations all over the world.
