Everything2000 Millenni-moms
Maine
---Penny Robinson
Penny is expecting her first baby on Jan.1, 2000 , while this is suppose to be a very happy time, it is very difficult for her because her husband passed away in August. Her husband was only 36 years old and he died of an unexpected heart attack. She and her husband would have celebrated their second anniversary four days after he died. The baby is going to be very special to Penny when it is born. Penny was living in Ohio, but moved to Maine to be closer to her family when the baby is born.

---Karen Irving
We are quite excited about the new century. We are both very optimistic people, and look with awe at the new opportunities and marvels of the times. With the technology age upon us, great strides will be made in the fields of medicine, agriculture and the like. Our baby will have every chance to benefit from all.
The thrill of having one of the first babies of the new century is only adding to the fun and excitement of the event. We take so little time off from work and did take a ski vacation up north to Sugarloaf U.S.A. and that's where little James Harrison was conceived.

--Diana
Diana says she would much rather have a millennium baby than a Christmas baby. She's not sure she would be into all the publicity if her baby was born at the beginning of the year because its such a personal family time.
