![]() STORY: BBC Producing Millennium Song. 20 superstars will sing "It's Only Rock 'n Roll." This list of superstar musical acts agreeing to sing "It's Only Rock 'n Roll" for the BBC's millennium single is getting longer. Each singer or group will perform a line of the 1974 Rolling Stones hit. So far ten artists have already ventured into the studio for their line and they include: The Spice Girls, Annie Lennox, James Brown, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Jon Bon Jovi and Chrisse Hynde. The BBC is close to getting Stevie Wonder, BB King and members of the Womack family to join in on the song. The BBC single follows the success of the Children In Need record Perfect Day which brought together numerous musical superstars and reached number one. "It's Only Rock 'n Roll is set to be release at the beginning of 2000 and according to the Press Association, it most likely will the first number one song of the year 2000. A video, which is expected to debut during the BBC's Millennium Broadcast on New Year's Eve is being produced to accompany the single.
