Parties Planned Throughout Orlando

City expected to be full by the time New Year's Eve rolls around

Orlando may be the one city in the US with the most theme parks and family oriented attractions. As expected, the city most likely will be completely full come New Year's Eve weekend. Here's a rundown of some of the events listed by The Orlando Sentinel.

Walt Disney attractions and hotels: 15-month celebration of the millennium beginning Oct. 1 and continuing through Jan. 1, 2001; Epcot introducing "IllumiNations 2000: Reflections of Earth".

Pleasure Island: 8 p.m.-2 a.m. with Hootie and the Blowfish, B-52's, buffet with more than 70 items, champagne toast at midnight with special performance of "P.I. 2000"; Downtown Disney; $250 per person, for age 21 and over (expected to sell out).

SeaWorld Orlando: "Shamu-llennium Countdown: Dancin' Through the Decades" nightly Dec. 26-31 with fireworks and laser extravaganza; 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Dec. 26-30 and 9 a.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31; 7007 Sea World Drive, Orlando; park admission $46.64 adults, $37.10 ages 3-9, free age 2 and under.

Cypress Gardens: Southern Breeze paddlewheel boat cruises: 9:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. cruise with meal, party favors, open bar, entertainment and champagne toast ($99.95 adults only, plus tax); cruises before 9 p.m. also require a ticket to Cypress Gardens ($31.95 adults, $14.95 children).

Universal Studios City Walk: Millennium Party, with DJ Peter Rauhofer: 10 p.m. Dec. 31; Hard Rock Live, $100 advance, $135 day of.

Phish: Part of celebration at Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation; band will play three sets Dec. 30 and two sets Dec. 31 (playing till 6 a.m. Jan. 1); between Naples and Fort Lauderdale; $150 advance (includes two nights of concerts and three nights of camping).

Pointe Orlando, New Year's Eve Millennium celebration for entire family. "Streetmosphere" entertainment on the first level and a paid-admission party on second level featuring bands, party favors and restaurant specials.

Arabian Nights New Year's Eve: 6 p.m. dinner with unlimited beer, wine and Coke and entertainment under tent 8:30-11:30 p.m. ($125 adults, $75 children, tax and gratuity included); 9 p.m. dinner with unlimited beer, wine and Coke and concert at 11:30 p.m. with midnight celebration featuring complimentary champagne and party favors ($250 per person, tax and gratuity included). 

King Henry's Feast: 9:30 p.m. with juggling, dancing, singing and specialty acts, balloon drop, champagne toast and DJ dancing until 2 a.m.; $90 adults, $70 children, plus tax and gratuity. 

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament and Living Museum: Various shows beginning at 7pm with hors d'oeuvres and champagne, $69.95 per person plus tax and gratuity. New Year's party 11:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m.; $92.95 per person plus tax and gratuity. 

Pirates Dinner Adventure: 9 p.m. with Pirates Adventure show, Buccaneer Bash and band, four-course meal and beverages until midnight champagne toast, also souvenir picture; $99 adults, $79 children.

Sleuths Mystery Show: 8:30 p.m.-2 a.m. with hors d'oeuvres, dinner, desserts, unlimited beer, wine & soft drinks, champagne toast at midnight, "The 1900s in Revue"; $85 per person tax included with prepayment required. 

Wild Bill's Wild West Dinner Extravaganza: From 9:30 p.m., with balloon drop, champagne toast and DJ dancing until 2 a.m.; $90 adults, $70 children, plus tax and gratuity. 

Langford Resort Hotel: Black-tie optional, featuring Rat Pack Syn D' Cats, Sarah Hays Swing Band, Sugar & Spice karaoke, Laura and Seven Due poolside, piano-bar sing-along 5-9 p.m., buffet, balloon drop at midnight; $100 per person advance, $125 at door.

Church Street Station: Millennium Gala Dinner, black-tie dinner and dance with multi-course meal; 7 p.m. Dec. 31; Presidential Ballroom at Church Street Station, downtown Orlando; $275 single or $550 per couple; Also, Millennium Street Party with the Groove Merchants and Tremors, plus regular entertainment in clubs: 5 p.m. Dec. 31; downtown Orlando; $75 advance, $90 day of.

Adam's Mark Orlando: Three-day celebration with packages including New Year's Eve dinner, Citrus Bowl game, theme park tickets and other choices; Orlando; $599 for gala package and $699 for plaza grand celebration package.
